  • Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail

    5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
    Mark your calendars now for Saturday, April 5 to
    come to the Elk Valley's "Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail event!
    Enjoy an illuminated trail through the halls of Elk Valley portraying student  artwork for sale, a silent auction with teachers, staff and administrators  offering services and activities, an egg hunt, pictures with a large fuzzy bunny and much more.
    Admission is $2.00 per person (children four years old and younger are free.)
    Invite your friends, family and neighbors!
    This event is to help raise money for a new playground structure through the Play and Learn Campaign.

  • Parent Teacher Conferences
    The Girard High School only will be holding parent teacher conferences on Monday, February 17th from 7:30-3:00.  There will be no conferences between the hours of 11-12.

  • P.M.E.A. Regional Chorus Festival
    On Friday February 14th at 7:00 PM, and Saturday February 15th at 11:30 AM, approximately 160 students from Western Pennsylvania will be singing at Girard High School. 
    These students are outstanding. Please consider attending this event to hear some amazing performances from the best students in Western PA.  
    Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students and Senior Citizens.

  • GIRARD IDOL
    Come and watch the 2nd annual Girard Idol Contest: Friday, February 7, 2014 at  7 pm at the GHS auditorium.Admission is $4.00 and the doors will open to the public at 6:00 P.M. The show will start promptly at 7:00. We have a wonderful lineup of 19 contestants.  Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners! The audience will choose the winner by a written ballot which will be tallied by the judges. Come on out for a fun filled evening, and help pick the next Girard Idol!

    Girard School District WILL be in session on February 14th.  This was originally a snow make up day, however due to the January snow day school will be held that day.

  • Keystone Testing

    Keystone testing will begin Thursday, January 9th and run through Thursday, January 16th.  Make-ups will follow.

    The Keystone Exams are end-of-course assessments designed to determine proficiency in the subject areas of Algebra I, Literature, and Biology.

    The Keystone Exams are one component of Pennsylvania’s new system of high school graduation requirements and replace the 11th grade PSSA. Keystone Exams will help school districts guide students toward meeting PA Core Standards—standards aligned with expectations for success in college and the workplace. In order to receive a diploma, students must also meet local district credit and attendance requirements, along with any additional district requirements.

Our PreK-12 district is locat
ed in Girard, PA. While we may be a rural school in a small hometown, our educational system offers all the big-city amenities, including: technology, all day kindergarten, and vocational education programs.
