Thank you for participating in the EVES PTO Spring Fundraiser featuring Extravaganza!, which includes pizzas, snacks, desserts, kitchen helpers and much more.
Fundraiser sales start on Wednesday, February 15th.
Orders, with payment, are due on Tuesday, February 28th
Delivery Date is set for Thursday, March 29th from 3:45 - 5:30 p.m. in EVES Cafe. |

Elk Valley Elementary School is having a PSSA Night for any parent of a third and fourth grade student on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the SRC/Library.
Mrs. Korb, EVES Assistant Principal, will give parents an explanation of what to expect during PSSA testing and an overview of the Pennsylvania Standards students have been working on. Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions or express concerns. This short informational meeting is for parents/guardians. |

The 2011-2012 school calendar was changed and re-approved by the Girard School Board.
The only change is that the March 16th Act 80 Day is moved to March 8th.
Students will NOT have school on Thursday, March 8, 2012, but WILL have school on Friday, March 16, 2012.
The revised 2011-2012 school calendar went home with all EVES students. |

You are invited to attend a Title 1 LOGIC/Phonics lesson with your child on the following dates in the EVES Cafe:
January 17, 2012 Kindergarten, 6-8 p.m.

January 19, 2012 Second grade, 6-8 p.m.
Pizza will be served so please return your reservation slip to the school office as soon as possible.

Great news! The FIT4LIFE program is starting up again soon at Elk Valley.
FIT4LIFE is an after school fitness program held by Mr. Funk and Mr. Russell to help students stay healthy and active during the winter months.
Students who would like to join FIT4LIFE must return the permission slip as soon as possible.
FIT4LIFE is held from 3:20 - 4:20 p.m. on the following dates:
First grade (Monday's) Jan 9, 23, 30 and Feb 6, 13, 27 (no FIT4LIFE on Jan 16 and Feb 20)
Second grade (Wednesday's) Jan 11, 18, 25 and Feb 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
Permission slips are available in the school office.
Third and Fourth grade FIT4LIFE will begin in March!

Kindergarten students and teachers invite their families to attend a Winter Wonderland program on Wednesday, December 21st at 2:00 p.m. in the gymnasium.
Please plan on parking in the back parking lot and entering through the back door by the gym. Doors will open at 1:45 p.m. and the program will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m.
We look forward to seeing you on December 21st! |
