There are many easy ways to aid EVES by saving labels, shopping online, and registering shopping cards. Anyone in the community also can participate. Collection boxes for labels are located at the Girard Giant Eagle Service Desk and the Rice Avenue Community Public Library. You can also donate by sending labels to school with your child.
Box Tops for Education
Cut Box Tops logos from products; label back with student’s name and homeroom number; return monthly in your child’s Home and Back folder. Each Box Top is worth 10 cents, and proceeds go toward playground equipment and improvements. All students participating are entered into a monthly drawing for a small prize. For a complete list of products, and a chance at bonus Box Tops, visitwww.boxtops4education.com. You can also earn cash back to EVES by shopping through the Box Tops website. Click on Marketplace to shop your favorite stores online (Kohl’s, Land’s End, Avon, Gap, JCPenney, etc.) and earn 8 percent cash back, or click on Reading Room to shop Barnes & Noble, and earn up to 6 percent cash back to the school.
Campbell’s Labels for Education
Cut the bar code and the Labels for Education logo (located together) from soup and other Campbell’s products; send to school in your child’s Home and Back folder. Campbell’s labels are used to purchase school supplies and other equipment for all areas of the school. There are several other brand names that fit under the Campbell’s umbrella, and they, too, feature these money-making labels. So check the UPC labels of these brands to find the Labels for Education logo, and cut it out together with the UPC code: Campbell’s; Franco-American; Pepperidge Farms; SpaghettiO’s; and Swanson broths. You can also turn in the caps from these bottles: V8 beverages; V8 V-Fusion; and V8 Splash.
Register your Giant Eagle Advantage Card at www.schools.gianteagle.com or 1-800-474-4777; enter our School ID # 0309; and shop with your Giant Eagle Advantage Card. Out-of-town friends and relatives can also register to support EVES by using the School ID. Once you register, you do not need to re-register each year.
Cut the UPC code from Sunny D drink products and return to school in an envelope or baggie addressed to PTO.
Register Elk Valley Elementary School on your REDcard (Target Visa, Target Card, or Target Check Card), and EVES receives cash back on purchases made on these cards. Go to www.Target.com/community to learn more.
Tyson Project A+ Labels
Found on many Tyson frozen products, lunch meats and precooked bacon. Make sure to cut - not tear - the entire strip from the top of the bag above the zip seal. On boxed items, cut the entire box end where the logo is located, not just the logo itself. Cut special label along dotted line; label back with student’s name and homeroom number; return to school in Home and Back folder. Each label is worth 24 cents, and proceeds can be used in any way. All students participating are entered into a monthly drawing for a small prize.
