2012-2013 Scholarships Offered
If you participated in any Junior Achievement Programs in the last 4 years there are 4 scholarships available that you may be eligible to apply for. The deadline to apply for all 4 scholarships is April 19th, 2013. They are available for your review in the Guidance Office.
2013-2014 FASFA COMPLETION WORKSHIPS WILL BE HELP AT EUP AT VARIES TIMES DURING FEBRUARY AND MARCH. FOR A FLIER WITH DATES, TIMES AND RESERVATION INFORMATION PLEASE STOP IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE.
The Diane and Henry Ward Family Scholarship application is now available in the Guidance Office. Scholarships will be awarded in either $400 or $500 increments. Applicants must have at least a 3.0GPA and enrolled in an accredited university or community college in the US. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need and scholastic achievement. Applicants must also have an excellent attendance record, demonstrated commitment to community service and demonstrated need for financial support. Completed application and completed essay must be submitted by April 10, 2013
The Pennsylvania Association of Medical Suppliers is pleased to announce it will award a $1000 scholarship to a student who has overcome physical challenges with the help of home medical equipment and supplies such as wheelchairs, respiratory devices, diabetes devices, asthma devices ect and lives in Pennsylvania or Delaware. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
The Pittsburgh Regional Food Service Directors Association will be awarding 1 $3,000 scholarship. Applicants must be a senior graduating in 2013 and must plan to attend a college, university or culinary school majoring in a food service related field. For more information applications are available in the Guidance Office and must be submitted by April 30th.
INFORMATION ON THE SAVE OUR SUPPLY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM THROUGH THE COMMUNITY BLOOD BANK IS AVIALABLE IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE FOR SENIORS GRADUATING IN JUNE. IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR NAME BY MAY 17TH. EACH PARTICIPANT WILL HAVE FROM JUNE 3RD-AUGUST 31ST TO HAVE AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE DONATE BLOOD AT THE COMMUNITY BLOOD BANK OR AT A BLOOD DRIVE. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF 10 PEOPLE SIGN-IN TO QUALIFY FOR THIS $1000 SCHOLARSHIP.
The Girard Federation of Teachers Scholarship application is now available in the Guidance Office. Applicants must be a Girard High School senior entering the Teaching Profession and accepted into a 4-year accredited College or University. Applicant must also have a 3.0 GPA at the end of the 3rd quarter your senior year. Deadline to apply is May 17th.
The STA/John Finfrock Scholarship application is now available in the Guidance Office. Applicant must be a current high school senior with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the previous 2 academic years (grades 10 and 11) and is planning to continue his/her education beyond high school in an accredited institution of higher education or technical school. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2013.
Student Insights if offering 12 scholarships worth a total of $10,500 to high school seniors who plan to attend a 4 year college, or career school. Simply log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 min application/survey about colleges in your area. The deadline to apply is 4/21/2013.
The Linked by Pink College Scholarship if offering a $750 scholarship intended to help a student from an Erie County School who has been touched by a breast cancer diagnosis. Applicants must have an immediate family member who is a breast cancer survivor or must have lost an immediate family member to breast cancer. Applicant must also be a graduating senior from an Erie County High school and planning to attend college full time starting in the fall of 2013 and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. The Girard-Lake City Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Application is now available in the Guidance Office.
The deadline to apply is May 20th, 2013.
The Italian America Women’s Association Scholarship Applications is now available in the Guidance Office. Applicants must be a senior female whose Mother or Father is of Italian heritage and will graduate in 2013. The deadline for submission is April 1, 2013.
American Municipal Power – Richard H. Gorsuch Scholarship – Applicant must be a student who is or whose parent or guardian is an employee of an AMP member municipal electric system or an employee of AMP. Applicant must be a graduating senior with cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale and show proof of enrollment in an accredited college, university or technical school for the next fall semester. Completed nomination forms must be received by January 18, 2013 and they must be obtained from and AMP member municipal electric utility and signed by a member municipal utility official.
PACB Foundation Scholarship – Applicant must be a dependent child of a parent working at least 1,000 hours per year, for a minimum of 2 years, for a regular member of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers (PACB) or a parent who was a member and was deceased no more than 2 years prior to the cutoff date of the application. Applicant must enroll as a full-time undergraduate student. Enrollment at ONLY colleges, universities and community college will be considered. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and must be postmarked by 2/8/2013.
Edgar Snyder and Associates Scholarship – Graduating high school seniors planning to attend a 4 year college or university in the fall of 2013 can enter. The deadline to submit your application materials is March 29, 2013. You can pick up an application list of guidelines in the Guidance Office or you can go to www.EdgarSnyder.com for all the information and to apply.
