Day 180—No Tutorial—Bell Schedule –Block 1,2,4,3, then homeroom for Movie
1. Girard students and their parents are invited to attend the Erie Times-News Varsity Cup awards banquet tomorrow night at the Ambassador Center. Senior Kendall Bonnett is a finalist for the Fan Favorite award, and YellowJackets basketball great and TV/movie star Marc Blucas will be the keynote speaker. Tickets are $20, including a buffet dinner, and can be purchased at GoErie.com/Varsity cup or by calling 870-1824.
2. Sports Physicals are in the Nurse’s office today, 8am -11am. The nurse’s office is closed during this time. Tylenol, ibuprofen, cough drops, and bathroom use will not be permitted during this time. The nurse will see TRUE MEDICAL EMERGENCIES ONLY.
3. Pleasant Ridge Manor is pleased to announce the return of their summer Junior Aide Program. As a Junior Aide volunteer, you will be part of a group of students assisting with providing the best care to the residents and their families. To apply for a Junior Aide position, please stop in the guidance office for the application form. You must be 13 years old and carry at least a C+ grade point average at school. The last day to register is June 17.
4. Reminder to those NHS members helping at graduation. Please report to the French Street entrance of the Warner Theater at 6:00 PM.
5. Corey Twichel, Ben Koerber, David Watson, Luke Boniger, and Molly Boniger need to report to the nurse.
6. Attention acapella choir members: you need to meet Mr. Dearbeck at the sound booth in the Warner Theater between 6:30 & 6:45pm tonight.
7. Marching Band members are reminded that you have rehearsal on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Day 179—Tutorial Block #4—Homeroom Extended 15 minutes for Survey
1. Teachers, please check your e-mail at this time and give me an answer to the question I sent to all of you this morning.
2. Acapella Choir members are reminded that your report time on Sunday for Baccalaureate is 6pm and Bell Choir members that aren’t in Acapella are to report at 6:30pm

Day 176—Tutorial Block #3
1. Sports physicals for the 2013-2014 School-year will be offered at GHS on Monday, June 3rd. Sign-ups are in the guidance office and you must sign up to get a physical during the last day of school by Today. Today is the LAST DAY to sign up for your sports physical for the 2013-2014 School year. The cost of the physical is $10 cash, and you must have the money with you on the day of your physical.
2. All Prom Committee members decorating for Prom, report at the Ambassador tomorrow morning at 7:30 am!
3. Attention Acapella Choir members: due to today’s senior class trip there will not be rehearsal after school today, we will meet at 6pm on Sunday before Baccalaureate to rehearse.
4. Seniors attending the class trip are to be excused at 10:15 today and check-in with the chaperones in the cafeteria. The buses will leave GHS at 10:30 and we are expected to return by 4:45 PM.
5. Mr. Mikovich’s 4th block is to report to Mrs. Seneta’s classroom today.

Day 175—Tutorial Block #2
1. Sports physicals for the 2013-2014 School-year will be offered at GHS on Monday, June 3rd. Sign-ups are in the guidance office and you must sign up to get a physical during the last day of school by Tomorrow. Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to sign up for your physical. The cost of the physical is $10 cash, and you must have the money with you on the day of your physical.
2. The students going to decorate for prom need to see Mrs. Bartone during tutorial today.
3. Lead & seed members: if possible, please stop in to the art room during 4th block (underclassmen with a pass) or right after school.
4. Seniors should report to the auditorium when the bell rings to go to first block.
5. Mr. Mikovich’s 1st and 2nd block juniors should report to Mrs. Seneta’s room.
6. There will be bell choir rehearsal after school today.
7. Marching band members are reminded that there is rehearsal this evening starting at 6:00 pm, please wear clothing that you can move in along with sneakers.

Day 174—Tutorial Block #1

2. There will be a mandatory meeting for the girls playing volleyball on Wednesday beginning at 7:35 in the auditorium.
3. GHS Cheerleading try-outs will be May 28th, May 29th and May 30th at 5:30-7:30
Hope to see a great turnout. Meet the new Coach.
4. The winner of Chef’s Class 2nd Block Chopped Contest is the Green Kitchen comprised of Joe Dunn, Troy Driedstadt, Kendall Bonnett, Alex Cruz, and Shannon Allen. Congratulations!
5. Mr. Tomlinson would like to see the following students during tutorial today.

Day 173—Tutorial Block #5--Homeroom
1. Attention Seniors, if there is somewhere you would like your final transcripts sent please fill out the list in the Guidance Office.
2. There will not be an Junior/ Senior Class meeting
3. Sports physicals for the 2013-2014 School-year will be offered at GHS on Monday, June 3rd. Sign-ups are in the guidance office and you must sign up to get a physical during the last day of school. The cost of the physical is $10 cash, and you must have the money with you on the day of your physical. If you want to participate in a school-sponsored sport during the 2013-2014 school year, you have to have a sports physical before your first practice. A sports physical before June 1, 2013 is not acceptable by the PIAA! A sports physical after June 1, 2013 will be good for ALL sports during the 2013-2014 school year. Students must pick up a new physical packet in the school office prior to getting their physical, and the physical packet must be completely filled out by a parent or legal guardian. If all the sections are not completed, it may result in you not being able to participate right away. The first legal practice for fall sports is August 12th, and no student is allowed to practice at that time unless they return their completed physical packet to Mr. Amenta in the high school office. No exceptions will be made, so please plan accordingly. If you do not get a physical on June 3rd, you are responsible for getting a physical on your own.
4. The GHS Stuffed Animal Collection for EVES is complete. Mrs. Tolbert’s room wins the freshly baked cookies for being the only students to bring in animals for the collection. The contest is still taking place at RAMS today with 5th grade in the lead. Thank you, Mrs. Tolbert’s class!

7. A reminder to Marching Band members: the Memorial day parade is on Monday and your report time is 12pm at the Legion. The music department will be open starting at 11:30 and you are to wear a solid red, white, or blue top and khaki shorts.
8. Student Council Compatibility Sheets will be available during lunches today for 1.00 each.
9. Seniors who signed up for the Class trip… reminded that your class dues must be paid to attend this trip. See Mr. Mikovich.
10. The Seniors will depart from the High School on Tuesday at 10:30am for the Class trip.

Day 172—No Tutorial—Keystone Testing
1. Attention Seniors, if there is somewhere you would like your final transcripts sent please fill out the list in the Guidance Office.
2. Junior / Senior class meeting during tutorial tomorrow in the auditorium.
3. Today is the last day to bring in your used medium to large stuff animals to help the students at Elk Valley. They will be collected at all 3 lunches today. The lunch that brings in the most stuffed animals will receive a reward of fresh baked cookies tomorrow.
4. Seniors who would like to attend the class trip should sign the list outside Mrs. Seneta’s room (C108). The deadline to sign-up and pay class dues for the trip is TODAY!
5. Any seniors with medications in the nurse’s office-please see Mrs. Decker today.

Reminder to ALL baseball players that if you have anything in the locker room, today is the locker room cleanout day, either Coach McKenrick or Coach Miller will be here at 3:30 to open up the locker room so players can get the rest of their belongings out. If you owe part of your uniform, it MUST be turned in today also.
10. Sophomores please pay your class dues in Guidance Office
11. At this time all teachers with homerooms take your homeroom down to the cafeteria and line up for the send off this morning the only room that will not is Mr. Dore's students that will be taking the Keystone Test immediately in his room.

Day 171—No Tutorial—Keystone Testing

2. There will be a Cross Country team meeting for anybody interested in joining the team for the Fall. The meeting will be held at RAMS in Mr. Clawson’s room today at 2:50pm.
3. Junior / Senior class meeting during tutorial this Friday May 24th in the auditorium.
4. Reminder to Baseball players : Locker clean out will be tomorrow at 3:00pm
5. Tonight the GHS Music Department will present their spring concert featuring the concert choir, concert band, acapella choir, and bell choir. The event starts at 7:30pm and there is no charge for the event. A reminder to bell choir members your report time for the concert tonight is 6pm and acapella choir members are to report by 6:30.
6. Students that are helping with the Rams field trip to camp Sherwin report to the office at this time

Day 170—Tutorial Block #1
1. Freshmen are reminded that their shirt order forms are due by TODAY.
2. Attention Soccer Players: There will be an informational meeting this evening for students and their parents who are interested in playing on the Boys’ or Girls’ Girard High School soccer team. The meeting will be in the High School Auditorium at 6:30 pm and is mandatory. Important information will be provided by the coaches and the booster organization.

13. During all lunches today, students can buy their compatibility results from a student council member. Cost is $1 per sheet. Some students may not have a sheet due to a computer error. Spend some cash and see who your high school sweetheart can be.
