Local, state, and federal first responders will be conducting an Emergency Operations Drill at Rice Avenue Middle School on Saturday, Oct 21st beginning around 8 AM. If you happen to drive past the school, you might be alarmed by the number of emergency vehicles on the school campus. Don’t worry, this is a planned drill, designed to improve the law enforcement response in the event of an actual emergency at Rice Avenue Middle School. For the safety of all involved the building is closed to all students, teachers, and community members on Saturday, October 21st. This type of drill has been conducted in each of our school buildings to optimize the emergency response in the event of an actual crisis situation.

Federal Lunch Program

posted Sep 19, 2017, 12:04 PM by Robin Seneta

Did you know your children may qualify for free or reduced priced meals? If your household’s gross income falls at or below the limits on the Federal Income Guidelines, you can enroll them in the Federal Lunch Program. We all know children need healthy meals in order to learn and grow. Not only will your child receive tasty and nutritious food at school every day, but participation in the federal lunch program may also benefit all children in the district. The PA Department of Education utilizes the number of students enrolled in the federal lunch program when awarding grant monies to school districts. All of the children of the District can benefit from grants or special programs if an accurate number is reported. We encourage parents to apply online at http://www.paschoolmeals.com.
