Please read the descriptions of the service sites and activities and click the button below to pre-register. This will help us know how many volunteers to expect at each location. There are many service locations to choose from, both indoor and outdoor!
We will be painting, cleaning up the beach, and making the park look beautiful for the upcoming summer months! Camp Sherwin will also provide other activities and options if there are more volunteers than anticipated.
The Pleasant Ridge Manor is a site where we are encouraging younger children and their families to volunteer. Starting at 10:00AM, we will meet at the Pleasant Ridge Manor lobby where volunteers will read to, interact with, and do other fun projects with the residents. Permission slips will go home for this trip soon and we will start filling spots on a first-come first-served basis.
Elk Valley Elementary School will be accepting volunteers to help clean up, do some outdoor beautification, and other fun activities at the school. We can accommodate a lot of volunteers. Also, if you have a child or sibling at EVES, it might be a fun and meaningful chance for them to give back to their school!
The Girard Borough Park is an important resource for our community. They have some work that can be done by walking the trails and picking up trash and removing sticks/twigs from the trails. Any number of volunteers is welcome. After signing in at Elk Valley we will meet at the pavilion by the pond.
