District Location and Report Cards
Academic excellence is the priority of the Girard School District and provides a rigorous academic schedule. Students are required to have 28 credits to graduate and have the opportunity to take a variety of AP, Honors and Academic courses throughout their high school career. Our school is also part of the Regional Choice Initiative where students can receive college credit for advanced courses.
There are also many opportunities for students to succeed outside of the classroom. All of our schools offer a variety of extracurricular activities.
A variety of clubs and activities are offered throughout the district such as National Honors Society, Yearbook, Plays and Musical Productions, Bell Choir, Chorus, Marching Band, Student Council, Student Senate, Academic Decathlon, Speech and Debate, Varsity Club, Lego League, Geography Bee, and more.
The following sport opportunities are available at our middle school: football, basketball, volleyball, soccer cross country, and cheerleading .
In our high school students have the option to participate in football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, golf, wrestling, cross country, track and field and cheerleading .
Our teams are big competitors in our area boasting several state championships in basketball, first place in district 10 and regional championships in football and basketball and individual regional placements in swimming, track and field and cross country.
Inter-murals are also run in our middle and high school.
