The fifth grade Friends of Rachel are holding a book drive to collect gently used books for the Caring Place in Erie.The Caring Place is for grieving families to gather for companionship while they go through the grieving process.The fifth graders are looking for gently used books for the preschool age, elementary children, and for young teens to donate to the library at The Caring Place.Please help your children clean out their bookshelves and donate to this great cause.The book drive will run from February 27th to March 9th.The students will be dropping off their books in the cafeteria during the morning before classes or during their lunch times.The Friends of Rachel thank you for you help.

A recent study showed that only 50% of middle school students wash their hands, but only 33% of the Girls and 8% of the Boys used soap while washing their hands. Hand washing with soap is the single most important means to prevent the spread of colds and stomach viruses. Please wash your hands frequently to prevent the spread of germs.
